To assist you to locate the photographs you may be looking for, a series of albums have been created (and more are still to be added). However as photographs may be located in different albums you may also wish to use the search facility to locate photographs of interest. If you search for a particular topic, all relevant results will be returned, regardless of the album they are contained in.

Finally, our aim is to develop this site into a comprehensive collection of Worcester photographs through time. We are therefore interested in adding additional photographs to the collection. Any photographs uploaded would clearly acknowledge their source.

St Swithins church at left adjacent to building where Kays started.
On left hand side: W and R Fletcher, Opticians and Listen Inn
On Right hand side: International stores, Dewhurst Butchers, Halifax Building Society and Hung Up

In the late 18th Century, watchmakers John Skarratt and Co traded from the shop on left. They manufactured clocks and watches and sold to railway companies. Under leadership of W Kilbourne Kay they expanded to become mail order pioneer Kay and Company.
